This article argues for the concurrent and comparative use of genograms and ecomaps in family caregiving research. Social work ecomaps tell about an individual and the connections he has in his social boundary. Although development and utilization of genograms and ecomaps is rooted in clinical practice with families, as research tools they provide data that can enhance the researcher's understanding of family member experiences. Unlike genograms, ecomaps are a very important tool in being able to tell us who a child or young person sees as important to them, who their close relationships are with and how they view the adults around them. Hartman started using the ecomap to illustrate the dynamic relationship between different individuals and their families with their social environment. ![]() A genogram is a graphic portrayal of the composition and structure of one's family and an ecomap is a graphic portrayal of personal and family social relationships. The Government of Japan administers Tsushima Island as a single entity despite the artificial waterways that have separated it into two islands. Tsushima Island has many mountains such as the Mt. Much of Tsushima (89%) is covered by natural vegetation and mountains. Tsushima Island and Iki Island are collectively within the borders of the Iki–Tsushima Quasi-National Park, designated as a nature preserve and protected from further development. The nearest Japanese port, Iki, situated on Iki Island within the Tsushima Basin, is also 50 km away. On a clear day, the hills and mountains of the Korean peninsula are visible from the higher elevations on the two northern mountains. Nevertheless, when it comes to a massive laser show, this is the projector you'll want. The projector's cord was also short compared to others and it only came with a ground stake, making mounting options limited. This is a particular consideration for households with kids and pets, and if you're worried, it may be best to go with an LED option instead. While the projector's performance impressed us, it's worth noting that it uses 3R lasers, which although relatively safe, should not be stared at directly for extended periods. The construction also felt heftier and more high-quality than some of the others we looked at. The projector features a convenient auto-shutoff feature that turns off the lasers in daylight conditions, helping cut down on energy usage. In our latest round of testing, this model blew away the competitors in terms of brightness and coverage area, showering our test room in a massive display of red and green dots. There's one word to describe this simple projector from StarTastic: bright. That said, the low price and wide coverage area of this projector justifies us swapping it into our rankings. Our previous pick for best snowflake projector, the Tangkula LED Snowflake Projector Light, featured a remote which this unit does not, so those wanting more hands-off control should go for the other option. While it wasn't the brightest of the projectors we looked at, it was more than sufficient at creating a lovely display in nighttime light conditions. Lab tests revealed that this projector had an easy set-up, requiring you only fix the heads to their mount (it comes with both a stake for driving into your yard and a flat base for placing atop your patio or deck) and plug in the unit to create a sizable light show. The double-headed design is supported by two ball-and-socket joints that let you customize each projector head's angle individually, giving you total control over the dancing snowflakes it generates. Google Earth is a great help in determining the exact coordinates that you need for your image. It might be a corporate campus or vacant lot. It might be an existing neighborhood, down to the exact street address. In the satellite imagery field, we call it the "Area of Interest." That's really just shorthand for the location you want to be photographed. Using Google Earth to Preview Your Custom Satellite Photograph Satellite Imaging Corporation provides high-resolution for nearly any location on earth, not just major cities. Unfortunately, outlying areas are often a major source of interest for civil engineers, oil and gas exploration teams, and environmental project managers. Currently, Google Earth provides high-resolution image data for major metropolitan areas, and often, little else. If no image of your target area exists in our library, or if you need to monitor changes over time, we can easily order a custom satellite image to be taken, which ensures that your image is as current as technology allows. The images in SIC's image library are date-stamped, so you are never in doubt as to how recently the image was photographed. This might be fine for satellite images of established, urban areas, but for some projects, such as environmental monitoring or residential development, knowing the exact date on which an image was taken is essential. While Google Earth lists its images as "approximately one to three years old," users are never entirely sure the date an image was shot. The center of the image is where the image is sharpest, while the outlying regions of the photo become increasingly blurry as you move to the edges. ![]() The Google Earth image, while an accurate representation of the area, is distinct in several ways: On close inspection of the images, some differences become clear.
